I've had a first gen kindle fire laying around that I want to make use of, and am trying to install google play or other apk that can make the tablet usable and give me a better browser and app store as an alternative to Amazon's awful options. Problem is that I will install an APK file, and when it is finished installing, it will say Parsing error. I've turned on installation of applications from unknown sources and have a file manager, but every time there is still a parse error. I've searched online everywhere but cannot find a solution to the problem. I've already factory reset, and could do it again if needed. Any solutions?
