Hey wsr, need help finding a book.
Older children's picture book. Read it in 1999 or so, but it was probably written in the 70-80's but I could be very wrong...
The book was about a group of kids, roughly 5-10 of them, and they were maybe related.
Might have had a witch or something, I think I remember something about food?
It was not set in modern times.
Sorry for the vagueness. I was pretty young when it was read to me, but I remember the art style. I know it had detailed art, more realistic than most children's books, definitely darker. Reds, browns, warm colors were used. If blue was used, it was probably dark like a navy blue.
It is not a well known book. Or at least, not common currently.
I remember the book being fairly large in size, hardcover. Might have had that weird cloth coating some older children's books have instead of the paper slip cover.
The pages had somewhat long paragraphs laid over the pictures, black text.
And if I could remember more, I would. Please help me find this book! It's killing me.
