>>401484For Plato, it is basically the idea of Forms.
From wikipedia
>For example, there are countless tables in the world but the Form of tableness is at the core; it is the essence of all of them. Plato's Socrates held that the world of Forms is transcendent to our own world (the world of substances) and also is the essential basis of reality. Super-ordinate to matter, Forms are the most pure of all things. So he is saying traps embody (to some degree) the eternal, immaterial form of femininity, the platonic ideal of femininity. To be attracted to the femininity in traps is not gay, because being attracted to femininity isn't gay. This is the same as being aroused by a statue does not mean you are marble-oriented.
Idk much about Aristotle, but he did not believe in forms, except as they exist as a human concept. He was also big on categorizing species. Diogenes you've probably heard about in memes, he was a cynic who made fun of other philosophers, lived in a barrel, and masturbated in public.
Also Plato's dialogues do include a good amount of discussion on boy love, afaik nothing on traps specifically.
