I need a straight answer, if I want to watch Hunter x Hunter, which version should I watch? Usually when the topic comes up people (possibly) cherry pick bad animation from the version they don't like and good animation from the one they do like.

So what's the actual deal between the two? I'm also aware the 2011 version has more content covered but I don't mind watching the 1999 version then jumping to 2011 or straight to the manga should that be recommended.
