Hey. So net neutrality is about to be destroyed in America, and likely ISPs are going to block all anime trackers. I want to download as many good anime series as I can before the day of judgment. I'd like more anime like Berserk, Ghost In The Shell, Serial Experiments Lain, Dragon Maid, Nichijou, Watamote, Akira, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, The Wolf Brigade, etc. Whatever good series analogous to these ones, or ones you just think are good, please drop a comment about them in the comment section. All serious comments are appreciated. Thank you.

>>421208 >likely ISPs are going to block all anime trackers Where were all the anime trackers being blocked before the FCC claimed control of the internet?

>>421263 This time seems different from what I've heard. I know that the last time sopa and pipa failed to get through they were harboring huge anti piracy clauses. That does not spell out good for any sort of tracker or p2p, I've been anticipating a worst case scenario incident like this for some time now. ISPs will have total control of the internet, what websites we can and can't see. And since the head of the FCC is a former verizon chair, it is clear that business is in bed with government. The government will now have power not only on small things that make people's lives more livable like piracy, but they control our access to information. They already took away our privacy, now they will control what we see. 1984 is happening.

>>421299 good job blowing everything out of proportion and parroting what you read, sheep. Try thinking for yourself and also two steps ahead.

>>421300 "and parroting what you read". Is reading the news wrong? The level of contrarianism here... holy shit.

>>421479 You think this is a fundamentally republican thing they're doing? Think again. They're going to enforce net neutrality on a federal level. They're signing in legislation that makes it illegal for states to intervene and give net neutrality in their state.

>>421479 Also, I find the whole libertarian thing ironic. You're just trading one power for another. You're not going to be free of power structures like government when you just replace them with business. If you want to have an organized society, yes you're going to have to sacrifice liberties, whether it be through a government or a corporation. I personally think that giving corporations power, whose only purpose in this world is to profit off of consumerism and labor, is a batshit thing to do. Actually trying to have a government that benefits the people makes more sense, if you want to have a society which benefits the most people.

>>421326 "Parroting" is a stretch but he's got a point. Whenever supporters are trying to make a case for NN, they bring up a lot of scenarios that are possible but unlikely. Sometimes it gets really ridiculous, like saying it'll remove internet access for rural areas (linking it to income equality rhetoric). That said, torrenting is something they've tried to stop in the past, so throttling that is a real possibility in my mind. Not 100% blocking, but slowing down and possibly requiring a separate plan.

question, I'm Canadian, will I be ok for net neutrality? I've streamed anime my whole life and I only ever download hentai.

>>421864 Maybe. Keep in mind that Canada's got its own Net Neutrality debate going on with their ISPs. But the most relevant stuff is happening in America, and wouldn't have a direct effect on your ISP. But here's a possible scenario:
>Net Neutrality gets repealed, and ISPs take it as a sign to start throttling high sources of traffic >Netflix has to pay Comcast, Verizon, etc. an unthrottling fee >Netflix passes the cost on to its subscribers - even outside of the USA So you could end up paying more for this service. I'm not trying to endorse it, but I don't think pirate streaming's going to be affected much if at all. Torrenting is a different story.
