I'm guessing it's "popular with Tumblr" because of the two asexual alien characters and a trap dude. One of the asexual aliens kind of looks like a fucking tranny but he's such a fucking cool guy no one cares, another alien is literally satan and the trap dude's character isn't defined by DRESSES LIKE A GRILL, they don't even address his crossdressing in the series.
But, yes. I found it to be a pretty good series. There are barely any fights, though, its more about the characters. The social commentary is a bit more present in the second season though.
