Is it? Why do people pray then? Am I really using God if I'm desperate and looking for divine help because none other can work? I did my absolute best to be the man she needs and wants, but given my luck and my past the chances of me succeeding in being with this girl are rather low. I'd really love to be with her though. As I said, you can pray to be more confident, be a better person and ask for well-being of yours and other people's. You shouldn't pray for personal gain, like money, good job or succes in love, those are of your concern.
It may be the case that it's not meant to be as well, or exactly the opposite. It's not like you are the only one in a situation like this you know.

Well... we used to fuck. Then she friendzoned me when I confessed my feelings. You shouldn't be unequally yoked and non-practicing is only slightly better than a full on atheist. You probably shouldn't even date a woman that isn't currently a practicing Christian but at the very least you really must not get marry a girl that isn't committed to the faith. Divorce is unacceptable and its your duty to make sure you get involved in a marriage that won't lead to that.

I spoke to her about this actually and she's very much on the same page with me on this. She'd never leave her husband once she'd marry him. I'd never leave her. You both promise each other to be together despite good or bad, right? She seems to understand it all.

Thanks anon. The thing is that I'm doing all this for her to see me as a good potential partner. It seems to work because she's noticing that I'm a much different and better person than she's initially thought of me, but balancing the line between being used and just caring for her seems impossible to me.

I just want happiness. I think I can have it with her. I want us both to be happy because I know I can make her happy. Every time we meet, we spend hours together and she's always smiling. All the time. Thanks to me. Even though she's had depression and terrible shit in her past, I feel like I can give her something that will make up for all that. I want to be that strong support to her.
