1: check out Kemonozume the art style to me is fantastic and the story is top tier.
2: Mousou Dairinin (A.K.A Paranoia Agent) This anime is awesome I watched it around the same time as NHK and I loved every second of it especially an ep dedicated to 3 people who met on an online forum.
3: Perfect Blue, made by the some guy who did Paranoia Agent.
4:The manga Goodnight PunPun
5: THE NHK MANGA AND/OR NOVEL these are both really good and are different from the anime in quite a few ways.
6:A Kite is a really cool movie I will suggest to you only because of how dope it truly is.

Hajime no Ippo
Mind Game
Hells
Redline
Super Milk-chan
and maybe Air Gear just maybe though.
