Depends on what you do, photoshopping, finding obscure sauces, or translating is almost 100% thanked.
It help that actually helps as well.
I made many requests myself, and I always got some decent replies or at least some ideas on where to search further. But then again, I usually ask for literature/shows, rarely a sauce, and sometimes a tech question. So I guess this also depends on what you request.
