Both actually; but honestly the story/planning is the best. The aspect of Nen though in the fighting was also super intriguing. I loved it all!

To date I haven't found a Magic System better than A Certain Magical Index's (third season coming this year). Execution isn't exactly the best tho.
Soul Eater is also pretty interesting.

The guy who wrote HxH also wrote Yu Yu Hakusho.
They share a lot of similarities.
It feels rougher and is in my opinion not as good as HxH (being an earlier work of his) but it has this early 90s charm to it.
