What should I watch as my 500th anime?

I want it to be special. I'll take a gander at any suggestions I haven't already seen.

I'm watching Neon Genesis Evangelion at the moment and I recommend it, but I really recommend the first two Galaxy Express 999 movies and I suggest watching the series if you enjoy the movies because they cover alternate timelines.

chrono crusade, only worth it for the final episode which is 10/10, the other ~49 episodes are hot garbage typical of shonen anime in early 2000s but the final episode captures the real human essence of mortality and was pretty moving
if all else fails, work on your fucking backlog
