I'm freaking out so i'm going to try to be as clear and thorough as possible.
When the windows 1709 update came out my computer had a lot of trouble updating. I kept getting the "your computer needs to restart to finish this update" notification, but whenever I restart I always got "the update failed" So I ignored it and kept on with my life. The last week it got aggressive and would constantly ask me to restart to update even through it doesn't work. Now yesterday I got pissed and tried to get to the bottom of it, long story short I deleted the contents of my bloated Software Distribution folder. After this the updating got somewhat(?) better. Some minor updates updated but the main update still won't go through. It's preparing and downloading the update files fine, but it fucks up when installing the update.
Skip to this morning I tried to pair my blue tooth speaker to my computer and my computer keeps telling "couldn't connect" I ran the trouble shooter but it failed telling me it couldn't find the device drivers or something like that. (I really wish i remember the exact message) I went to device manager and Bluetooth isn't there at all. No bluetooth tab or anything. So I looked this up of course and was told to go to services and find the bluetooth support service there and set it to run and run automatically. I did that but it fixed nothing. I tried running my computer's trouble shooter again and now it's straight up telling me Bluetooth is not available on this device.
For the last year I've used bluetooth frequently, controllers, speakers you name it and now it telling me it doesn't have it. My natural speakers don't work well and I use my computer 50% for games so I need bluetooth.
TLDR; after 2 years of using Bluetooth my computer is now telling me it's not Bluetooth compatible.
Can anyone help? Anyone heard of this before?
