the step that was taken was to divide the set of values by 10 and put them in the parentheses, so that you can look at the numbers in a different way (its been a while i don't remember what this is called)
so the values that are there in the 1st step all get divided by 10
10t/10 becomes the t
-200/t becomes -20/t
and the -10 becomes 1
the reason the author did this was to show that all these values can be divided by 10
the same step can be accomplished by just simply dividing by 10
on a different point the step between the top step on the right and the 2nd step on the right confused me for a bit, that's because the author took 2 steps in one line, dividing by 10, and dividing by t
