Another good idea is when you have a vague idea for something you want to do, don't let it die. Note it down, and make a list each morning (preferably physical but mental will do) of everything you're going to do that day, and don't worry about anything else. Makes your massive workload feel much easier. Makes you feel your progress if you break everything you have to do into steps.
