Have you watched already Danshi Kokousei no Nichijou, Seto no Hanayome, Level E or Mitsudomoe? If not, I highly recommend you start with them, they're all great comedies that made me laugh a lot.

Level E is from the same creator of Hunter x Hunter, it's a bit different from his usual works but even so it's a nice comedy. Tiger and Bunny and Star Driver was insanely popular in /a/ back in the day so I think you also should try it.
