I took out a stick of ram and that seemed to help for a while but now it's right back to it.

So it crashes as in just straight up turns off? Is it random? You overclocked? How old is your PSU?

Pure random. CPU is OCed to 4.2 GHz but I even experimented without it being OCed.
I've had my power supply, motherboard, and CPU since 2012 now. I got a pretty good cooler fairly recently so my CPU shouldn't have any problems with heating. (Max temps I've seen it go during vidya is 50 C)
RX 480 8GB I got a couple years ago.
I did have 16 gigs of DDR3 ram but took out 1 8gb stick nearly a month ago. As I said before, it seemed to work for a bit but now it's starting up again. I'm not sure if it actually did anything or if it's just another case of it crashing really at PURE RANDOM.

Also I even tried hooking my power cord into another wall port and I thought that was working for a bit (like 2 weeks), then it started crashing again.

Test with a different power supply. If I had to reckon, that'd be your problem. If you still get the same issues, set your clock speed back to default. If that doesn't work, run it absolute barebones and troubleshoot from scratch.

I'll try to find an opportunity where I can swap power supplies with my friend. I had a feeling it was a power supply issue, I've just been refraining from changing that out cause I'm lazy lol
