Here are some tips which I imagine might help you get people interested in it:
Don't start your thread with "hello, my name is...". That's just overhead that means nothing to the readers.
Briefly describe what the project is about, what exactly you've worked on so far, how close to completion it is, but especially try to be specific when describing the kind of help you're looking for. When you ask for someone who is "good with knives" you might get a chef, a surgeon, a carpenter, a martial artist, or whatever else. That wastes both your time and the time of whoever replies on good faith.
Don't give out your email address before it becomes necessary. I'm not going to explain why; there are many obvious reasons for this.
