Does anyone know any good anime for people around 12? The person in question mainly likes cutesy slice of life / magical girl stuff so any recs would be nice

48 episodes and 48 more episodes if you include index, and a new a season is coming too
also the main series is at 40 novels with more coming
so its a good series to invest a 12 year old in, constant supply of content, might even get them into reading

I think Maid Dragon is a 10/10 anime, too, anon, but a lot of the Kanna/Saikawa sections are pretty lewd. There are also the Lucoa/Shota scenes, too, which are more lewd and even less meaningful. The family themes throughout the anime are fantastic, but I don't think it's a great show to watch with the kids, sadly.

Kids shows don't have thick lolis climbing over each other while playing video games or Twister. Kids shows are generally only "adult" in dialogue besides some outliers like Ren & Stimpy. Pretty much the entire rest of the show is completely fine, but those parts are a bit much for a child, I feel.

Fighting Foodons is something that a 4kids dub actually improved.

SMT Devil Children should be safe for that age, but it's fan sub only so...
Oh, and the 4th Digimon series had people transform into the digimon so that's "magical girl" even if there was only one girl.
