I'm just looking to see what I need to upgrade in order to future proof my computer a bit. I only built it a few weeks ago so it might be decent or it might need different hardware sooner. I'm open to any and all advice. Thank you.

ASRock B360M-HDV

Intel Core i7 8700

G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB 2X16GB DDR4 3200MHz

Geforce GTX 1070 TI

2TB HDD.

Thank you. I have been reading about the benefits.

It's been 10 years since I built a computer so i just bought a bunch of parts and threw them together. Anything I don't need I'll just use in a build for my best friend so nothing's getting wasted.

Well the basics are there already. You could go above and beyond and add a bluray drive and maybe a capture card so you can watch tv on your PC like me but like I said those are just extras.

Truth is To make your PC really good you'd have to get a 1080ti at least but it's not worth it since you'd be wasting that 1070.

Do you think there's any point upgrading my mobo from a Micro ATX to an ATX? My computer's performance isn't an issue but maybe something with a little more functionality? E.g. RGB Headers.

I wouldn't especially if it's going to be a $180 up motherboard.

I suppose there are reasons to upgrade but doesn't have much to do with futureproofing unless you want to add more ram, or you need more pci slots.

I guess if you want colors then that's a reason but doesn't have much to do with future proofing.

I have 32gb and that's probably already enough for the coming years. I know 16gb is plenty but I'm usually doing multiple things at once anyway.

I think I'll constantly be altering my build until I'm forced to upgrade my mobo and cpu. I just bought a new rgb cpu fan on Friday and it should be here on Monday. The stock fan that comes with the i7 8700 isn't great so I thought it'd be best to just upgrade that before there's no point as it'll help with the longevity of the processor.
