I own a pair of headphones that have a built in microphone that is in a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cord connecting them to the computer. When I plug in the headphones to the computer, I get sound through them, but the microphone does not register on the computer, and the computer continues to use its shitty internal mic. I know that the microphone works.
Is there any way that I would be able to resolve this without buying another piece of hardware? I have attempted to uninstall my sound drivers, but this just made the computer unable to play any sound through the headphones.
