Is there any way at all I can distinguish between a broken USB port on my case and a fried USB controller on the mobo without looking for another USB 2.0 connector?
Basically, my case only has one USB 2.0 port, which is on the front panel and it stopped working recently.
I've tried both the JUSB1 and JUSB2 headers on the mobo and no luck.
I've been thinking about whether it's the mobo or the port and have brought it down to the port solely on the basis that USB devices feel really loose and wiggle around a lot while in the port.

I'm looking to sell this to a friend, and although all the other ports are USB 3, I don't want to sell him a dying mobo, as I've heard that when one thing goes, everything else usually follows.
I haven't had general performance issues with the board or anything.
