Nope, in the free software I can see the source code and actually tell whether it's spying on me or not. Besides, I would much rather not have stupid thumbnails in my file explorer than get spied on by a bunch of chinks (Babelsoft, company that created Media Preview).

That's irrelevant. If the source code is available online then someone must have surely gone through it and posted anything suspicious or fishy in it online and since the source code isn't available, the software cannot be trusted.
