I'm having some really persistent 0xc0000005 errors crashing my system

No.567745 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
This happens playing EDF 4.1, but I noticed in the event viewer that I was getting similar errors playing different games, but I wasn't crashing.

I tried the most common fixes, such as scanning for virus, repairing the registry, updating drivers/windows, different game settings, closing almost everything in the background, checking ram/system integrity, etc.
I even formatted my pc.

I don't know if this hints something but yesterday I tried disabling DEP (data execution prevention) and instead of seeing the usual EDF crash in the event viewer, it's now listed as an explorer.exe issue.
