For the last decade, I've listened to the Talkradar crew, and then followed them over when they started the Laser Time podcast. Basically, a bunch of game journalists talking about a variety of pop culture subjects, ranging from the Star Wars EU, to Gremlins rip-offs, to bad video game music, to Disneyland/World deaths. It's a pretty funny/comfy listen.
An interesting side-effect of listening to a specific group of people over a number of years is seeing how their behavior changes. Back in '08, they were new hires, and had just moved to San Francisco from the Midwest/Southeast, and were pretty un-PC. In the video, Chris (the host) tells a story about calling a black chick a nigger, and that's on a podcast about video games.
As time went on, though, you could sense San Francisco infecting their minds until a few years back, they were singing the praises of communism, and had an entire episode focusing on who they think should be blacklisted from the media (conveniently, all white, male, and conservative).
The show has gotten REALLY depressing over the last couple of months, because Chris concluded that he couldn't afford to live in San Francisco anymore, and moved back to Florida. All the most recent episodes have been full of him talking about how broke he is, how little he enjoys doing the show anymore, and how old they are now.
Still, used to be a fun show.
