I know how to fix the problem in ffmpeg (which is what I use to encode webms) which would be by adding -reset_timestamps 1 to your code, but I'll have to assume that if you were to use ffmpeg as well, you'd already have the means to figure that one out on your own. Zero clue how to reset timestamps with popular encoders.

Happened to me by accident, when I split a longer video instead of encoding every part by itself. The later segments retained their time signatures and then 4chan complained.

I used VLC to convert from AVI. Even tried an online encoder to re time-stamp and it ended up going from 2.4mb to 7mb.

I guess I could try the ffmpeg way... don't feel like downloading an entire application just to fix a stupid time-stamp though.
