50 y/o man here. I really used to enjoy a lot of anime, but recently it seems to all have become retarded. About once a year something hits thats interesting and fun for me. I really enjoy sci/fi/action shows, but I can't seem to find any thing new that doesn't piss me off after a few episodes. I'll use Gate as an example. I had major wood until, of course, the lolis and magical cat/rabit/bird girls.

So, am I too old to deal with changing themes in anime, or is anime going through a dry period?
