Mouse and Keyboard not working on Windows 7 when dual booting with GNU/Linux

i tried dual booting windows 7 and linux mint but for some autistic reason the mouse and keyboard doesn't work after i booted to Linux Mint, i tried reinstalling windows and that helped but as soon as i booted into linux again it stopped working, what should i do?
