I'd troubleshoot the problem however, "video playback" does not appear in the list of things I can troubleshoot when I search my computer for it.

To clarify, what happens is that I'll click on an embedded video, and the black screen appears to be buffering, and then after about 20 seconds or so I'm told there's been an error. I'm running Win 8.1, FYI.
