i don't know if it's okay for me to post this here but me and my bf are being harrassed by a stalker. it's been happening for months now and the police hasn't been any help. my bf had the same issue with his ex, where the stalker even went as far as to stick death threats on their aparment door. somehow, this person found me on facebook and even worse, my mother on instagram now. he or she started harrassing my family and i'm scared that this will never end or even get worse if i do nothing.

can somebody please tell me if it's possible to find his or her ip address? we have suspicions about the stalker being my ex bf and he lived a bit farther from where we live and knowing the location will give us some peace of mind because right now, it could be anyone and that terrifies me.
