I "played" the original VN like a decade ago and remember really liking the comfy parts when it was just labcoat guy, Kurisu, and occasionally the fatso just hanging out in their office, and was more or less okay with the main plot and the romance part between labcoat guy, but I really did not enjoy anything else (specifically, all the pathetic weeaboo dating sim shit when you go off the main story.) Also didn't really care for the fan disc or whatever where they tried to make the traitor girl that talked with her cell phone into some cutesie potential romantic option.

Would I like the anime? Does it have anything to offer that wasn't in the VN, as far as content? What about the sequels or prequels or whatever, are they in the same vein as that comfy just 3 or so characters hanging around while the greater plot slowly develops in the background with a good mystery overhead, or is it just uguuuu I'm so glad you took me out to the amusement park nyan~~ shit?
