I'm relatively new to anime. I've just finished Berserk and Neon Genesis Evangelion, and absolutely loved both. What are some similar anime in terms of gore, character development, and sexual content?

I watched Akira about a week ago, I was amazed by the animation but a bit disappointed by the story. I think I'll watch Death Note and Ghost in the Shell next

OOC, why were you dissapointed by the story? The desolate mood is pretty good and the plot is a good metaphor for puberty, IMO. The manga is a lot more developed though.
