My recommendations are basically going to be watch the shit on this chart >>69599 and others like it. Most of what you've seen is stuff that aired in the last few years, so your experience with anime is skewed quite a bit.

Also maybe try watching some good sci-fi. You can find solid Sci-fi recommendations pretty much anywhere.
