I live in an apartment that has one giant wifi network and I want to be able to have my own hidden network so I can access my own devices and play Lan games with friends. I have my own router and I also have access to a router on the apartment network.

What would be the best way to do this?
What do I Google for help with this?

I tried setting my own router to bridge mode and plugged it into the ethernet but no luck.
