>>712953>Something with more than just trimming? There's not a lot of choice in high-level FOSS editing.
I used to use Blender VSE (a full-blown video editor that's part of Blender, the 3D modelling software). It's immensely powerful (they make all the Blender Foundation movies/shorts with it), but super complex and convoluted (as in: without a YouTube tutorial I couldn't even open the VSE within Blender). I haven't been keeping up with Blender VSE development though, but just the fact that you can integrate anything you can produce in Blender puts the limit pretty much at the sky: masking, chroma keying (webm related), etc - it's intimidatingly complex, but super powerful.
Recently I started using Shotcut, and it's a lot simpler and has a way better UI. But just doing very basic stuff I've started hitting limitations already. I would honestly put Shotcut at an intermediate level. It's in active development, but still got a long way to go (for now you can't even make curved paths to move layers along for example), but if you simply want "more than just trimming" it's probably the way to go. If you want to get serious with editing I'd probably still recommend Blender VSE, as nasty as it is to learn.
