Just as the libraries of a city are linked, meshed together, so too do the librarians themselves come from a shared pool. For years, they've kept watch over their steadily diminishing resources, cataloging transgressors in vaults beneath each nation. Your anti-hero wakes up in one such vault. The last thing they remember is "borrowing" the unabridged dictionary to clean up a little mishap in the restroom. If they escape to the surface, the Librarians will stop at nothing to return them to cold storage... INDEFINITELY!
