need new anime to watch

just finished Neon Genesis Evangelion and like the introspective and psychological parts of it. Also thought the action was pretty good. Looking for something that gives off sorta the same feel. I'm really not that interested in mecha but other parts of the show made up for it ie: character interactions, action, storytelling, etc.

Since there's hardly a point in starting a new thread for a similar request, i'm looking for recommendations as well. I just finished watching Violet Evergarden and Made in Abyss, and i'm looking for something similar. I love fantasy drama in general, so other than this my only requirement is for the series to not be too long (no more than 30 episodes per season) because i'll probably drop it.
