Having another bad dry spell when it comes to stuff to watch, and haven't really seen a general rec thread in the catalog that fits the bill.
I'll decrease the scope a bit; what are some anime that you consider generally "overlooked", but would whole-heartedly recommend? None of the obvious stuff, though I won't mind if you happen to post those aswell.
