Can an anon please tell me what the fuck is this? It just appeared on the next day out of the blue. I didn't touch the monitor screen yesterday nor did anything with it other than just turned it on. Thanks in advance

Is it still there if you turn it off awhile then back on? Could it be screen burn in? Look up fix screen burn in on yootoob and see if any of those vids work. It's worth a shot.

I had burn ins with my other monitors in the past but it's nothing like pic related before. It does not appear when I turn it off and only specifically if I turn it on. I'll try and see if the videos work, ty

I said when you turn it off then back on again. Does the monitor work as normal otherwise? Maybe see if the cable is loose, hell I don't know. I've haven't seen this before.

No, the mark still remains to be there and the videos did not work at all. Not sure what it is but I'm assuming it's some sort of bizarre burn in that is inside the monitor. The cable is plugged in fine but thanks for the suggestions anon

It's a warped backlight. There's a plastic relfector behind the screen that's responsible for distributing the backlight evenly so it can shine through every subpixel the same. It is bent now, and does not shine evenly, which is why you see a blob.

The most likely cause is that you or somebody else dropped it, though it's possible there's something behind the screen that overheated.

seemingly, the monitor itself is functioning, but the screen is damaged. bring it to a computer technician. I wouldn't advise attempting to replace it yourself
