can anyone recommend some anime "for people who usually don't like anime"? Like most normies I love Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo and Space Dandy. Also watched Ping Pong the Animation and was blown away. When it comes to anime film, I like Satoshi Kon, Keiichi Hara, Takahata and Miyazaki obviously.

However, I've tried a few other shows "for normies" and I didn't enjoy them:
>Tatami Galaxy
subtitles are way too fast for my slow peabrain. inb4 learn japanese
>Kids on the Slope
couldn't get past the first episode. It seemed too cheesy and generic with none of the experimentation and fun East-West mishmash Watanabe is known for.
>Carole and Tuesday
I think I'm just not this show's target audience, which seem to be young adult women and teenage girls.
>Serial Experiments Lain
also couldn't get past the first episode. I think I associate it too much with 4chan to enjoy it. The whole premise just seems ridiculous and it looks like the kind of show that takes itself too seriously. Might try it again later
>Great Teacher Onizuka
great first 6 or so episodes. After that it feels redundant, like the same joke or story gets told over and over again
