However, it is perhasps the case that the assessor is expecting you to use a calculation for the permeability of the cast steel core, then calculate the reluctance ( S ) of the core using
S = μ n^2 A / L
then use magnetic flux ( Φ ) = mmf / S ;
and / or Φ = B A
in order to calculate some of the stuff that was actually asked for via a more circuitous route,
involving more calculation typing than I felt inclined to do.
