Is it possible to kill a motherboard if you short the clrtc pins.
I did this unplugged but later I did it plugged.
Mobo is prime b350m-a
If anything else is needed just mention it

Eh, probably not. Unplug power cord, turn off PSU, remove CMOS battery, short it again, put battery back in, turn PSU back on, plug in cord again. It'll probably work. Don't forget to touch something metal before you touch the insides to discharge any static electricity.

The night before I unplugged the psu and removed the cmos battery and I'm pretty sure a night is more than enough to discharge a system, I even got a new battery just in case that died or whatever but even after that it didn't work.
Psu ok since I tested it btw
