Looking for anime with good combat. It can be either normal war with swords or guns or anime with some super power/magical characters.

Armor Hunter Mellowlink has a lot of decent combat, basically about a lone solider going around taking out mechas with his anti tank rifle solo. Nice guerilla tactics and interesting story.

Zipang has combat here and there, basically about a modern Japanese military ship going back in time to the battle of midway and trying to work out if they should remain neutral, side with the allies or side with their people in this war, but every side wants to find out just how powerful they are and usually get roped into fights.

Girls und Panzer is unironically about tank battles as sport. I know it looks like generic moe shit (and it kinda is) but it does deal with actual tank combat with some retarded extreme cases of Tank drifting and body blocking rotations of Tank's. Quite extreme but good nonetheless.

Certain Magical Index deals with a guy who has a right hand that can block any magical or scientific special attack and due to his bad luck has to deal with constant fights of people who are much more powerful that he is, usually leading him to come up with some smart ways to get out of, or win the fight since all he can do is run and punch as opposed to using any form of magic. Pretty great combat honestly, especially if you love turnabout fights.

Bokurano has decent combat but it's usually put into the last few moments of an episode or something, but it's still there for the most part. Basically a story about 15 kids piloting a giant mecha to protect Earth from other giant mecha attacks, but this turns out to be a very dangerous task and you learn the history of each kid in every fight they do to finally see what their actions are when it comes to the real fight.
