Looking for romance anime recs that are genuinely decently written/directed/done first and foremost, where the wish-fulfilment and power-trip aspect of it doesn't make up its popularity (harem shows being the most obvious offenders)

I've neglected romance anime for a while because it always feels like they're written for people to self-insert into first and foremost, but pic related left me craving to explore the genre a bit more.
