I want to make an anime amv (I'm a faggot, I know) but sony vegas doesn't let me import mkv files. What's the easiest way to deal with this problem?

I guess you have to convert them first. Tried googling a solution, first thing you should have done.

you can try using mkvmerge to extract the video
the video format is usually mp4
mkv is just a container, not an actual video format
