Can anybody help me explain why /wsr/ is full of idle free-loading malingerers who always ask for

with stuff that they want to have done for them
when they don't actually want "help" doing it,
they just want it to be handed to them on a plate, without doing anything about it themselves.

Asking for a friend who's doing research into this phenomenon for his Ph.D..
