I hear Microsoft forces updates because some people in the past chose not to patch a few security vulnerabilities, let in a couple viruses, and infected the rest of us. I also hear the reason why Microsoft updates bootleg pirated Windows is for the same reason. They don't want these pirate versions spreading malware, even at the cost of legitimizing piracy. Neat

Secondly, you despadeleto the updates you dont want. That fucking simple.

In the past a culmative update fucked people by completely deleting all the default locations windows suggest you save stuff to, like documents, videos, pictures. Essentially the media library. This was really bad to anyone who used it for actual business purposes and saved their stuff in those locations. It's also fucked video drivers and wireless drivers. I've had a hard crash from one of these updates and needed to uninstall my video drivers to prevent it from failing and blue screening my computer, which if happens could potentially cause bad sectors on your hard drive and make it fail prematurely.
