The first time I cancelled my Amazon Prime, it was because they had increased the Prime fee without notifying me. I think there had been two withdrawals at the increased rate when I noticed the higher fees on my Bank account.
I phoned the Amazon customer services (it was quite difficult finding the number to speak to a real human!), but after I stated my objections, they refunded those two months of fees in full with no problem.
I think the fee had gone up because they were providing additional (new) video streaming services and charging for that. But I never asked for those services nor had I ever (at that point) used those additional services, so they immediately gave me the full two month's fees even though I had had the benefit of some free Prime delivery services during the refunded period.
In fairness to Amazon, they are extremely good at providing refunds when there has been a valid customer complaint.
