I use my personal local hard drives as my only backups. Basically only one copy but I am somewhat careful with them. I keep my PC clean and most of my stuff accurate with md5 files so I can easily check their integrity. I feel like although sure my house might burn down and I lose all my shit the likeliness of a server going down is more likely and still MUCH less enjoyable because of limitations of bandwidth, connectivity, them having access to all my shit and stuff like that.
