What are the most definitive, most influential games of each video game genre? Like Doom for FPS, Starcraft for RTS, etc.

I love WRPGs, JRPGs, and adventure games but I'm not sure of Baldur's Gate II, Final Fantasy VII, and Grim Fandango would be the appropriate picks.
