worth noting my wacom tablet seems fine, it's just my touchpad. not only does it jump around, but half the time it refused to click or scroll and even clicks randomly when I'm just moving the mouse around. sometimes single click is double click for whatever reason.

I already ran malware bytes and it came back clean. I don't have an antivirus.

any idea how to fix this before I completely reinstall windows?

using win7 on hp laptop from 2012 btw
